In this video, I’m going to share with you the top 8 grocery stores that will meet your needs and exceed your expectations in Pasadena, Maryland.
Hey everyone, my name is James Bowerman and I live in Pasadena, MD. When it comes to choosing a grocery store, you probably want somewhere convenient, that has everything you need, and affordable pricing. So let’s take a look at how our community voted, starting with number 8 on the list.
8. Geresbeck’s Food Market
Located at 8489 Fort Smallwood Road in Riviera Plaza. Geresbeck’s is a relatively new addition to Pasadena, taking the place of Lauer’s after purchasing the location only a few years ago. Shoppers enjoy their friendly customer service, good selection of products and affordable pricing.
7. Food Lion
Located at 350 Mountain Road in the Mountain Market Place shopping center on the west side of Pasadena. Shoppers like the clean and open store layout, along with the savings you can get with their MVP card.
6. Sprouts Farmers Market
Located at 8048 Ritchie Highway in Pasadena Crossroads. Another newer addition to Pasadena in this rejuvenated shopping center. Although not a large store, it is abundantly stocked with items you won’t typically find at the big name stores, such as fresh organic produce and seafood.
5. Safeway
Located at 4211 Mountain Road in Lakeshore Plaza, and a long standing establishment in Pasadena. The store was home to Pasadena’s very first Starbucks, and was recently updated to include convenient self check out stations.
4. Aldi
Located at 8124 Ritchie Highway and just inside the Pasadena border. Shoppers love Aldi because of their affordable pricing, which they accomplish by offering a limited inventory of generic items, instead of brand names that come with a premium.
3. Giant
Located at 4315 Mountain Road in Lakeshore Crossings. This large grocery store paved the way in Pasadena for the modern shopper, offering self scanning and checkout, and the first gas station with discount points.
2. Angel’s Food Market
Located at 4681 Mountain Road and certainly not the biggest or most convenient store on our list. However, Angel’s has been serving the Pasadena community for 100 years! Because of their long standing history, they are the only grocery store is allowed to sell alcohol. Known best for their famous homemade salads and well-stocked beer, wine and liquor selection.
1. Green Valley Marketplace
Located at 8095A Edwin Raynor Boulevard in Chesterfield Plaza, which was the second Lauer’s location to be recently sold. The locally owned and operated grocery store chain has made a lot of improvements and has quickly risen to the top of our list. Shoppers love their ready-made foods, including steamed crabs, as well as the award winning Lauer’s bakery which they retained.
